As Assistant Vice President of Operations in GCG’s Seattle office, Loree Kovach manages a team of nearly 20 claims administration specialists handling many of GCG’s most challenging settlement administrations. Over the years Ms. Kovach has established herself a strategic problem solver who is well-known for her ability to assess complex matters and develop solutions for critical administrative tasks including the integration and management of data from multiple sources, and the handling of unique claims.  She frequently consults with clients at the pre-settlement stage to provide strategic advice to ensure the administration process is structured efficiently.

Ms. Kovach has gained valuable expertise handling large and high-profile consumer matters, including cases involving complex financial instruments.  She is currently leading GCG’s administration of the nearly $2 billion Credit Default Swaps Antitrust Litigation – one of the largest private antitrust settlements in United States history.  In addition to the CDS case, she oversaw all of GCG’s operations pertaining to the GM Ignition Compensation Claims Resolution Facility which was established by nationally-recognized mediator Kenneth Feinberg to process, review and pay the claims made by alleged victims of the ignition switch defect in certain GM vehicles. Ms. Kovach also served as project lead on Frost v. LG, which included nearly 900,000 class members.

In addition to large and high-profile consumer matters, Ms. Kovach’s depth of class action administration experience centers upon employment-related cases.  Prior to joining GCG in July 2014, Ms. Kovach spent 10 years at Settlement Services, Inc. (SSI), a Tallahassee, Florida-based class action administration company specializing in the administration of employment settlements that GCG acquired in 2011. She has gained particular expertise in solving challenges related to wage and hour matters, having handled at least 60 such cases brought under state law or under the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
