Gea Somma

Gea Somma is responsible for the day-to-day oversight and management of various GCG Bankruptcy Group teams and initiatives, including the preparation of debtors’ schedules of assets and liabilities, statements of financial affairs, tracking of claim transfers, and notices of appearance. In addition, Ms. Somma manages the teams responsible for tracking of claim transfers and notices of appearance and the matrix data gathering and claims matching process.

Gea Somma is responsible for the day-to-day oversight and management of various GCG Bankruptcy Group teams and initiatives, including the preparation of debtors’ schedules of assets and liabilities, statements of financial affairs, tracking of claim transfers, and notices of appearance. In addition, Ms. Somma manages the teams responsible for tracking of claim transfers and notices of appearance and the matrix data gathering and claims matching process. She has been involved in the administration of various cases, including AMR Corporation (American Airlines), American Apparel, Inc., Edison Mission Energy, Patriot Coal Corporation, General Maritime Corporation, and Quicksilver Resources Inc., among others.

Ms. Somma joined GCG in late 2009 after having seen the Dial-A-Mattress /1800mattress.com company through its bankruptcy as a senior member of the company’s General Counsel’s office. Earlier in her career, she worked for more than five years in Milan, Italy, for two established law firms, where she assisted corporate clients with commercial and business transactions.
