As Senior Vice President of Audit & Compliance, Daniel Lane concentrates GCG’s industry-leading compliance, audit and anti-fraud resources on the continuous enhancement of GCG’s ability to provide efficient, high-quality and cost-effective claims administration services, and on the reduction of vulnerability to fraud, abuse, and waste.  With an intense focus on security at the organizational and legal administration industry levels, Mr. Lane also manages GCG’s policies and procedures regarding access to technology and physical facilities.

Under Mr. Lane’s supervision, GCG’s Compliance and Fraud Prevention teams utilize measures such as OFAC compliance and Watch List analysis to authenticate the validity of claims submitted in GCG’s legal administration programs, and frequently partners with law enforcement agencies and financial services organizations to investigate and identify potential fraud.  Working with GCG’s Executive, Legal, Operations, Fraud Prevention and Compliance teams, GCG became the first and only administrator to obtain the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (the “AICPA”) Service Organizations Controls (“SOC”) 2, Type 1 Certification in which an independent auditor attested that GCG’s claims administration process is designed to meet the rigorous Trust Services Criteria that the AICPA established for each of its five Trust Services Principles: Security, Availability, Processing Integrity, Confidentiality, and Privacy.

Mr. Lane develops, coordinates, and participates in educational and training programs that promote understanding of GCG’s Compliance Program, and ensures that all necessary GCG employees and management are knowledgeable of, and comply with, pertinent federal and state standards. He is also responsible for ensuring that all of GCG’s vendors and independent contractors meet the requirements of our Compliance Program.
