Angela Ferrante

Angela Ferrante, a seasoned attorney in her own right, has run some of the most historic bankruptcy administrations in U.S. history. During her nearly 10-year tenure at GCG, Angela has grown a seven-person bankruptcy and insolvency practice to one that has had as many as 90 professionals in multiple offices (including noticing experts, securities experts, bankruptcy attorneys and former court clerks) overseeing hundreds of matters, most notably the General Motors and American Airlines restructurings.

Currently, as GCG’s Senior Vice President of Operations, Ms. Ferrante runs the New York office and is responsible for the oversight and management of the hundreds of class action settlement administrations and restructuring matters, mass tort settlements, regulatory administrations, legal notice programs, product recall programs and data breach response programs handled from GCG’s headquarters.

Notable administrations Ms. Ferrante has handled include the United States Victims of State Sponsored Terrorism Fund, AMR Corporation, et al. (American Airlines), Motors Liquidation Company, et al. (f/k/a General Motors Corp., et al.) and TCI 2 Holdings, LLC (Trump Casino Entertainment Resorts).

Ms. Ferrante expanded the depth and breadth of GCG’s service offerings, including solicitation and international cross-border restructuring programs such as the groundbreaking Brazilian extrajudicial reorganization for Lupatech. She also spearheaded the evolution of GCG’s technology to support our restructuring services, including robust online claim and solicitation portals, which were informed by intense evaluation of GCG client needs, and guided by her experience-based understanding of the legal and practical demands of restructuring projects.

As an active leader in the legal administration community, Ms. Ferrante has been profiled in publications such as The American Lawyer, Financier Worldwide, Dow Jones, New York Business Journal, and Long Island Business Journal. Prior to joining GCG in 2007, Ms. Ferrante worked as a Senior Associate at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP and as an Associate at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP. She was a law clerk for the Honorable Thomas B. Donovan at the United States Bankruptcy Court, Southern District of California.
