On August 28, 2008, Mercury Companies, Inc. (the "Debtor") filed a voluntary petition for relief under Chapter 11 of title 11, U.S.C. in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Colorado (the "Court"). On October 24, 2008, six direct and indirect subsidiaries of the Debtor also filed voluntary Chapter 11 petitions. The cases were assigned to the Honorable Michael E. Romero and jointly administered under case number 08-23125-MER.
On November 13, 2008, the Court entered an order authorizing the Debtor to retain The Garden City Group, Inc. as its claims, noticing and balloting agent.
On December 13, 2010, the Court entered an order (“Confirmation Order”) confirming Mercury’s Chapter 11 Plan dated July 14, 2010, together with the Amendment to Chapter 11 Plan filed November 24, 2010 (the “Plan”).
