Angela Ferrante
Senior Consultant

Ms. Ferrante joined GCG in January 2007 as a Senior Consultant. Her wide-ranging responsibilities include providing ongoing client counsel, supervising client projects, and assisting with new business efforts.

Prior to joining GCG, Ms. Ferrante was an associate at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, where she focused on financial restructuring matters. She managed the interests of unsecured creditors, provided strategic and preventative counseling, and participated in all phases of bankruptcy litigation including: negotiating with debtors, creditor constituencies, and other parties-in-interest during restructuring; appearing in court on behalf of creditors committees; and drafting memoranda in connection with all aspects of committee representation. Prior to that, Ms. Ferrante was a business finance and restructuring associate at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP. In addition, Ms. Ferrante was a law clerk for the Honorable Thomas B. Donovan at the United States Bankruptcy Court, Central District of California.

A recipient of the Founders Day Award (top 10% of class) and a member of the Deans Leadership Circle, Ms. Ferrante completed her undergraduate work at New York University where she graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in English and American Literature. She received her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School, where she was a Notes and Comments Editor at the Brooklyn Journal of International Law and a member of the Moot Court Honor Society.

Ms. Ferrante is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the American Bankruptcy Institute and the International Women's Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation.
